                                                                         General Information

Dress Code:

Please see the individual requirements listed in each class description.  Girls will need their hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun, and out of their face.  Boys with long hair should also have their hair pulled back.  NOTE: Dance shoes should never be worn outside!  This damages the bottom of the shoes, which, in turn, will damage the dance room floor.

Age Requirements:

Children must meet the minimum age requirements for their class by the first day of classes.  During the first month of classes, the teacher may recommend moving a dancer to a more skill appropriate class.

Attendance:

Classes start promptly!  It's important that dancers are ready to go at the start of class time.  You should arrive at least 5 minutes early to take off coats, change into dance shoes, etc.  If a dancer is going to miss class, please call and let us know.

Parents:

There is a room next to the dance room where parents may relax while their children are in class.  An observation window allows parents to peek in at the class.  Wi-fi is available in the parent's room.  Parents bringing smaller children may take them to the church nursery to play during class.  This is not staffed, and the parent must remain with the child in the nursery.

Parents who choose not to stay in the building during class are required to bring their child into class and come inside to pick up their dancer.  For the safety of the children, no dancer will be allowed to leave the building without an adult.  (Please do not send another child in to pick up your dancer.)  Parents of children in Creative Movement class must remain in the building during class.

Recital:

A year-end recital allows the dancers to share what they have learned with their families and friends.  All classes will take part in the recital.  It's important that dancers attend class on a regular basis so that they are prepared and can be ready to showcase their talents.
